Grosvenor Place...A home away from home!!!

Grosvenor Place... My Hostel... A great place to live.. It became special because of the friends i got here... Kind of my group(DX) in my college... Everybody with a different character...unique in nature...

I still remember the first day here when me and Aniruddha joined the hostel...two of the purple people (University students who help new comers) viz Saulat and Abdulla (both from Pakistan) helped us to settle down in our rooms... And thereafter me and Saulat are good friends...

When i reached at the room, i met Nitesh and Ahsan, who stayed beside me... My flat has 13 rooms with 8 Chinese, 4 Indians and 1 Pakistani... Its great to have this diversity...but we(at least Ahsan and we 4) never felt that we are someone from different country....

would love to share the following song for all of them

We really had a great fun sharing some great moments in our lectures and assignments.... I can't forget the fun that we had in trips, on the dinner table, during course-works and assignments, and during project discussions... The kind of remarks we used to share regarding our courses attracted my other friends towards the computer world....

Aniruddha

The first day I met him, I was really happy to have someone who is Marathi speaking...We travelled by same flight to manchester but met on the Manchester airport...

He is fan of rap music, F1 sports and cars...Always have a curiosity about the things that he doesn't know...The thing I liked about him is he can ask any damn question about any damn thing (condition he must be curious to know)...

He has interests in teaching and in research field... He wants to be a Ph.D. holder and want to succeed in his chemical engineering field.
Some of his buzz words are "sahiii", "awesome yar", "what a judgement yar", "ek number"...Some of my group mates used to tease him because of this..

Its because of him that we had fantastic Roti's in dinner..Thank you Aniruddha for that...

He is fan of Tom hanks...its because of him only that I have seen some of the best English movies... I cant forget the movie nights, the funny fights that he and aniruddha, nitesh had... The cricket matches and many ,more... Thank you Ayush

Some of his buzz words are "iski toh alag hi mazaa hai re", "kya re guptha", "mast hai re"...

Now let me introduce to a Grosvenorian who didn't live in Grosvenor...

Muhammed Junaid Khan

thats how he used to write his name...from Karachi, Pakistan...always used to tell us stories from his hometown "Sakkar"... The most humorous guy from our group...laughs very happily and make everyone to laugh with him..a very funny guy...

we (me ahsan and junaid) were classmates and me and junaid were project partners too ....so he always used to come to Grosvenor...I used to say Grosvenor was his second home..the staff members who were working in grosvenor used to consider him as a resident...

Thanks to junaid for his Eid gifts and Shirkurma also for other sweets... We used to laugh a lot because of his stories and the incidents narrated by him... His two nephews who live in birmingham were one of the reasons for us to laugh with him...

we call each other by sirjee...dont know why...dont know how it came...but its nick name for both of us...

Thanks to all of them for all the fun that we had during the whole year...They were the most important of my Manchester journey... The journey wouldn't have been so funny, lively and happening without them..I hope we will have our friendship for lifetime...

I started writing this article on 16th Dec, 2010 and completed on 5th Oct, 2011...ooohhh....finally
